About Krause Construction
Founded in 1984, Krause Construction has worked with clients throughout Chicagoland, Northwest Indiana, and Southern Wisconsin. They are a full-service general contractor specializing in hospitals and healthcare offices, food and restaurant facilities, manufacturing, and commercial spaces.
Before working with Impact, they had another managed IT services provider, but it wasn’t a seamless relationship. They would struggle to get ahold of their contacts there, service could be slow, and solutions were based on more of a break/fix model than a proactive model.
See how that changed when they started working with Impact by watching the IT management case study video above!
“They offer solutions but they don’t go above what they think we need. They’re not trying to sell, they’re trying to give us solutions.” - Rachelle Mahoney, CFO / Partner, Krause Construction
The Problem
Krause Construction understood the benefits that having a managed IT service provider could offer. What they were struggling with was their previous provider. Between offering overwhelmingly reactive solutions and only offering one point of contact, they didn’t exhibit a high standard of customer service.
Had Krause Construction experienced an IT-related problem while their contact was on vacation, they would have seriously struggled to reach anyone who could help them, even though they were paying for a managed service.
The team at Krause Construction attempted to handle the problem themselves, following up with their provider and fixing their own issues wherever possible. However, it was taking time away from their employees and their actual job duties, limiting the amount of work they could actually put into the company’s growth on a regular basis.
The Solution
Impact began our relationship with Krause Construction with a full-scale assessment of their network, during which we discovered a number of weak areas and even IT security vulnerabilities. With all of these issues in their network despite already having had some level of IT management, they knew they would need increased attention.
Working with Impact gave them access to a level of experts and implementation that they didn’t know was possible. They now have a long-term strategy and plan for dealing with advancements in technology that gets updated every time they meet with their virtual CIO.
