Not getting internet access and getting the message, “unable to connect to network drive”? Locating and reconnecting to your server only takes a few steps, but if you don’t know how to navigate your computer, it can be difficult.

Mac:

Step 1: Hit Control + K

Step 2: Enter in the share, written as SMB://server name

Step 3: Click “Connect”

Step 4: Enter your network username

Step 5: Select your network in the list of shares

Step 6: Open the folder

 

Windows:

Step 1: Go to File Explorer

Step 2: Find “My Computer” or “This PC” in the left-hand side

Step 3: Right-click and select “Map network drive”

Step 4: Type in //server name/share and click “Finish”
